Economic, financial and political information is everywhere. Indeed, quite a few people would contend that sifting through the information and identifying whatever valuable tidbits can be found is the hardest part of the job, certainly not accessing it.
With that in mind, my ambitions here are two-fold: One is for this blog to be a sort of repository/live memory of the various reports or articles I found interesting for one reason or another - A sort of aggregator. The second and more ambitious goal is to distill my own commentary and vision of economical, financial and political matters, if possible in a coherent, intelligible and meaningful fashion.
My view is that our politicians do not appear very savvy, economically speaking. Rahm Emanuel is now infamous for having said "Never let a crisis go to waste", yet I think they've done just that. To be fair, economists are not very clear in explaining what they know, what they don't know and the underlying assumptions of whatever economic recipe they're proposing. I aspire to do better. I want to explain clearly what I think ought to be done and why.
Hopefully, half the fun will be to read your comments and debate things out...
Best regards,
Frederic MARI
PS: Oh and, of course, thanks for stopping by. Welcome!
